Edit Workshop Evaluation

1) How did you use 180 degree rule, rule of thirds and match on action?

180 Degree rule is when you film from the same side of the subject. I used the 180 degree rule in my filming as when I had the interview the camera was on my right side shoulder so it was consistent.
this an example where we did a shot reverse shot:

Rule of thirds is when your eyes meets a third way down the screen, I had used the rule of thirds in my filming as before i did my interview me and another student were waiting and that is where we had used the rule of thirds.

Match on action is when you match it from one shot to another, i had used match on action in the process of my filming as when i left the room they filmed leaving the room and then another shot where the door is closing.

This a shot were it is called match on action
this door opening

matches to this do opening again but the closing it behind.

2) What challenges did you face during production? What would you change if you were to film again?
The challenges which had arise when we were filming is to know which shot would be best for that scene  example if it should be a mid shot or close up. also know where the camera and Tri-pod should be set up.
If we were to film again then i would use different types of shots, choose a good place to film and also add the rule of thirds in the film.

3) What did you face during post-production? what would you change if you were to edit again?
During post production the problems which i faced is how to do the actual editing on the I movie programme as i had never used it before so i had no idea on how to use.

3) What are the overall strengths of your work? Why?- Creativity, planning, research, digital technology, and  post production?
The overall strengths of my work is that i had planned my film on paper which was accurate and also made it very detailed on the other hand we had planned the location where we were going to film, we also had planned who is going to do what in the filming we had used me as the person being interviewed as i was verydone match on action, shot reverse shot and the camera was also very steady when we were filming.

4) What are overall weaknesses of your work? why?- Creativity, planning, research, digital technology, and post production?
The overall weaknesses of my work is me and my group did not have any unique ideas, and also i did not know how to use the i movie programme and also how to edit my film as i had never edited a film before.

5) What are overall improvements that you would make to your work? Why?
The overall improvements that i made of my work is made sure i had variety of different shots, and also edited my film in a way that it makes my movie flow and that i have shot reverse shot, match on action and the rule of thirds.
